Getting started

Getting started with Client Disclosure Reporting is easy. You don’t need any specialist knowledge or training and all the tools you need are free to download and use.

First, download the Client Disclosure Reporting Spreadsheet Tool below – you will need access to either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Make sure you have the client data for your last financial year to hand. You’ll need to know who you worked with, what type of organisation they are (business, non-profit, or government), and how much they spent with you in that financial year. Remember, their names and revenue figures won’t be published in the final report.

Next, all you need to do is choose an industry category for each client from the dropdown menu and the Spreadsheet Tool will work out your revenue from each industry as a percentage of your total income for the year, and create a graph for you to use in your final report.

When your report is ready, we’d love to hear from you! Let us know how you got on at hello@clientdisclosurereporting.org or share a PDF of your report with us and we’ll publish it here on the official Client Disclosure Report website.
